Did you know that many of the plants and flowers that beautify Changi Airport are grown right at our very own 3-hectare nursery near the airport? At the nursery, our Horticulture team adopts a circular practice in watering – rainwater and other runoff is funneled into two collection ponds, before undergoing a thorough four-step filtration process to remove algae and other impurities which can affect plant health. This filtered water is then used for daily irrigation of the nursery plants. Other ways in which we’re demonstrating our commitment to building a water-resilient future include the use of water-saving contactless taps, and adopting water-efficient cooling towers and chiller plant designs. This #WorldWaterDay, let’s make every drop count. 💧 #sustainability #SustainableChangi
I loved the Sun flower garden that was erected near the Transit Hotel 5 years ago. It was spectacular, especially at night when the lights were turned on. Wonderful curation.
This makes total sense. A practical, sustainable and cost-effective solution. Love how they keep things simple to achieve the intended results. No need billion $$ to save the world.
It’s very resourceful
Beautiful indeed
A Nature gift to Changi Airport
Beautiful!
